Dr. Fatimata Ly is the Head of the Dermatology Department at the Institute of Social Hygiene in Dakar and a Professor of Dermatology at the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar. She specializes in Dermatology, focusing on dermatoses associated with Skin Bleaching, psoriasis, infectious diseases, and systemic diseases, particularly in black skin. Dr. Ly lectures regularly at the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, supporting postgraduate students with their thesis. She is a founder of the International Association for Information on Artificial Depigmentation (AIIDA), advocating against skin-bleaching products and raising awareness in Senegal through various conferences and other activities. Additionally, she co-founded the West African Group of Psoriasis (WAGP) and serves as a national coordinator of the International Network of Psoriasis. Dr. Ly is the author and co-author of more than 50 articles published in international scientific literature and has been actively involved in scientific communication in international, regional, and national congresses since 1996.
