Dr. Ewan Langan

Biographie

Dr Ewan A. Langan became the current Editor-in-Chief of “Skin Health and Disease” in 2023 having served as Deputy Editor from 2020. He is the lead for translational Dermato-Oncology at the University Clinic of Schleswig-Holstein in Lübeck, Germany and an honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester, UK. Dr. Langan is a UK-trained Dermatologist who has completed specialist training in both Dermatology (UK) and Dermatology and Venerology (Germany). The first Walport Academic Clinical Fellow to be appointed in Dermatology in the UK in 2006, he completed his initial Dermatology training in Manchester before securing an MRC Clinical Training Fellowship which enabled him to pursue his research interests in cutaneous neuroendocrinology, leading to the award of his PhD (University of Manchester) in 2014. Having been awarded funding from the German Centre for Infection Research, Dr. Langan has more recently focused on the role of the microbiome in both inflammatory skin disease and skin cancer.
