Biographie

Prof. Bianca Maria Piraccini, M.D., Ph.D. Prof. BM Piraccini is Full Professor in Dermatology. She trained in Dermatology in Bologna, Italy, where she got her Residency and PhD in Dermatology, with special focus on hair and nail disorders. Prof Piraccini has developed an active role in teaching and research over the past 30 years. She has trained several Italian and international dermatologists in the science of hair and nail diseases, contributing to the development of a network of experts that carry on scientific studies together. She is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, and regularly organizes masterclasses, courses and congresses in Italy. She has been directing courses, sessions and symposia at the AAD, EADV and World Congress of Dermatology . She was president of the European Hair Research Society and of the European nail Society. She is board member of the Council of Nail Disorders and member of the EADV Task Force for Hair Disorders. She serves on the Editorial Board of Skin Appendage Disorders and JAAD Reviwew. Prof. Piraccini is author of more than 560 peer reviewed papers (Scopus h index 60) and editor/co-editor of 10 books on diagnosis and treatment of hair disorders.
