Dr. Aisha Sethi is an accomplished Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale University, also serving as the Director of the Yale Dermatology Global Health Program. After completing her medical education at the Aga Khan University in Pakistan, she returned to Yale for her post-doctoral fellowship, internship, and dermatology residency, during which she served as chief resident. Dr. Sethi’s passion for tropical medicine, immigrant and refugee communities, and global infectious diseases with dermatologic manifestations has taken her to various countries, including Pakistan, Malawi, Jordan, London’s Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and Tanzania’s Regional Dermatology Training Center. Throughout her career, Dr. Sethi has been actively involved in addressing global access to medical care, medical diplomacy, and improving dermatologic therapies and medical training in developing nations. She has established a successful dermatology elective exchange program with Kamuzu Central Hospital in Malawi and her work on albinism awareness has received significant recognition and support from the Malawian government. Her dedication to volunteerism earned her the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and her impactful global health work has been highlighted in esteemed media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, Voice of America news, and National Public Radio’s Worldview show.
