Dr. Leonardo Spagnol Abraham is a board-certified dermatologist specialized in hair and scalp disorders. He completed his dermatology residency at the “Instituto de Dermatologia Prof. Rubem David Azulay” in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he later co-founded and coordinated the Trichology Clinic from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, Dr. Abraham moved to Brasília, where he established and led the Trichology Clinic at the “Universidade de Brasília” until 2017. He currently coordinates the Hair and Scalp Disorders Unit at the “Hospital Regional da Asa Norte”, one of the main public dermatology centers in Brazil. He completed a fellowship in hair disorders under Prof. Antonella Tosti at the “Università di Bologna” (Italy) in 2010, and later pursued advanced training in reflectance confocal microscopy at the “Istituto Dermatologico San Gallicano” in Rome, Italy. Dr. Abraham is an invited speaker at multiple international dermatology and trichology congresses and the author of several peer-reviewed papers and book chapters in the field. He is also actively involved in clinical research and public health advocacy, promoting equitable access to advanced therapies for patients with alopecia and other chronic skin diseases in Brazil.
