CAREER PROFILE AND ASPIRATION I am a dedicated researcher and proactive lecturer with a strong foundation in mathematical sciences and programming, which has evolved into a passion for data science applied to biology and medical imaging. I am a data scientist with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights. With over a decade of teaching experience in mathematics, I have honed my skills in communication and problem-solving. I always enjoy tackling the questions and challenges that arise at the intersection of practice, research, and teaching. My expertise lies in data analysis, image processing, machine learning, deep learning and data visualization. I thrive in a dynamic environment where I can leverage my analytical skills to drive decision-making and innovation. Utilizing my mathematical and data science skills, I have successfully applied AI-driven solutions to real-world health problems. I completed my PhD in the field of neglected tropical diseases, specifically Mycetoma, where I developed a novel computational approach for the diagnosis of mycetoma using histopathological microscopic images. This project showcased my expertise in both data science and biology. Throughout this project, I collaborated with interdisciplinary teams of researchers which fostered my practical skills in bridging the gap between theory and applications as well as translating research findings. My diverse knowledge of mathematical expertise, teaching experience, and research in medical imaging positions me as an ideal candidate for a data scientist role in healthcare and life sciences. Ultimately, I hope to become a recognized authority in my profession with a trusted opinion to participate in building the global capacity of research practice, extend the knowledge base, promote the adaptation of research skills and reshape science communication.
