Dr. Amanda Zubek is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine. She is board-certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Zubek received her BA at Boston University and MD/PhD from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed internship and dermatology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a post-doctoral research fellowship as part of the Yale Dermatology residency 2+2 research track in which she studied the cell biology of hair follicle structural disorders. Dr. Zubek is the medical director of the Yale Dermatology-Middlebury office, where she practices general medical and surgical dermatology, and has a particular interest in nail unit disorders. She also has a strong interest in medical education and recently completed a fellowship in Medical Education at Yale School of Medicine. She is a core supervisory attending for Yale dermatology residents in their continuity and surgical clinics and participates in training the residents in nail unit procedures. Dr. Zubek coordinates the first-year Yale medical student clinical exam skills workshop in dermatology, is a clinical mentor for nurse practitioner students in the Yale School of Nursing and has a clinical appointment in dermatology at the Connecticut Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
